It's explained in the comics. Comics Cap is WAY more overpowered, his powers are barely explained in the movies.

The serum doesn't only amplify raw strength but also intelligence and cognitive abilities in general. Cap is essentially a genius who can see the world differently to normal humans. When he throws the shield he can pretty much calculate by eye how it's gonna bounce in a fragment of a second so he can get it back immediately.

The problem with capeshit is that characters seem to disable and enable their powers randomly. Because having that "microsecond super thinking calculation brain" should allow him to block literally every hit (which is how he LITERALLY dodges bullets in the comics) but apparently comes on and off in the movies.

Adding something, it just doesn't make sense that Sam Wilson, not enhanced in anyway can throw the shield that way.

It could be explained by "using his falcon goggles tech" but you can see him doing the bounce without any enhancements.

Walker was doing it too. MCU treats the shield as magic.

comics cap is just peak human, he never does anything that OP. MCU Cap is outrunning cars and holding back helicopters

Not to nitpick but top human speed ever recorded is just under 30 mph and there are lifters who literally drag trucks around so this isn't too crazy

comics cap can go toe to toe with the hulk for a few rounds without dying
