/who/ Hugh Grant Edition

>Hugh Grant tipped to be new Doctor Who in 'Marvel-style makeover' for hit show
>The actor first played the Doctor in a 1999 Comic Relief sketch but turned the role down when he was asked by writer Russell T Davies when the show was rebooted in 2007
>The insider said Davies is keen for the Four Weddings and a Funeral star, 61, to “bring a fresh feel” to the role.
>They added: “He offers many attributes – great actor, British, award-winning, Hollywood A-lister and excellent at comedy. Conversations are in progress.”
>Davies is also said to want to expand the Doctor’s horizons.

The same tabloid that got right that Jodie was leaving, and Bradley Walsh was to be a companion is now reporting Hugh Grant is the 14th Doctor!

What do y'all think about it?

>The star played a version of the 12th Doctor in a 1999 Comic Relief special written by Moffat.

>And five years later, Davies offered him the lead role. In 2007 Hugh said he regretted not accepting.

>He admitted: “It’s only when you see it on screen that you think, ‘Damn, that was good, why did I say no?”

The Curse of Fatal Death is all right, not brilliant, somewhat amusing but not after three or four times, as much. The "Time Rotor" moved too quickly. Still, there were a lot o' little jokes that Moffat would go on to repeat afterwards in other ways.

That is not a valid source in general.

Luke > Rani > Clyde > Maria > Sky

That ne'er happened.

Built for Big British Cock!

Didn't you say you were gonna leave? Cause you always say you should leave and yet you never do, which is fundamentally dishonest

Sorry. I really ought to, I suppose but it is fun to talk o' Doctor Who here, in some (probably falsely-conceived) group o' likeminded humans. There are superior places for it. It seems I cannot alter the way o' things here, for it is destined to be bad, based on the initial construction o' how communication is performed in this anonymous way. Having people to write to and respond to about the programme or personally can be a pleasant experience. I left a nicer place to return hither, for as e'er I managed to construe a conversation into a derailed irritation but in this land it is freer and more open than that, such that I have a lessened sense o' how I am affecting or hurting humans, which I really should not do. So long as these places are created, it seems inevitable that I should interact with them, else may I lose that point to converse about the programme, with some distinct quality lacking elsewhere, unobtainable. It is really not that significant, more hesitation and stagnation shall go forth without some firm alternative but the imagination lingers still.

Anyway...

The Brain of Morbius is a rather dull story. Any story with Karn is a little more dull due to Karn being involved. With Moffat thought it was a good idea to bring that back and have Ohila in Hell Bent, I cannot fathom. That was just a shortcut to boredom and bad quality. The Timeless Children did not assist in making The Brain of Morbius that much more fun, either. One should not attempt to retroactively improve stories, like in The Magician's Apprentice somewhat. Just go forward in all your beliefs... The Special Edition o' The Five Doctors used black-and-white for the first shot, as in the original tale, whereas the original The Five Doctors used a sepia effect, like in Earthshock on the Cyberman viewer. The footage in Earthshock was from The Wheel in Space, even though they speak o' The Tomb of the Cybermen.

Please just go.

Asher can I ask you something?

What was the episode Luke came out as homosexual and was removed from the show?

Run where?
Fight how?

Well, I don't see how I can stop you asking. The Stones of Blood is quite a good story, though the concept o' "inner time" has ne'er been elaborated on.

That ne'er happened! It was going to be the case that, had they continued, he was going to be confirmed as homosexual, well so I recall reading. Anyway, it ne'er occurred. He was generally in the programme less as it continued, at least he was in the final story.

>Anyway, it ne'er occurred.
I am sure I watched a scene in wich, Luke tells that old Sarah woman, that he is homosexual

"That old Sarah woman"? You mean Sarah Jane?

Well, it ne'er occurred in the programme but... I have ne'er watched this video till recently, but in this video:

youtube.com/watch?v=F8sU45ax2Hs&ab_channel=DoctorWho

things have developed. I suppose it is canonical.

Taking that in consideration, you have ranked a homosexual character as your favorite.
Why would you do that?
Are you one of them?

I considered Luke the best from the first story till the last, prior to his current sexuality being canonical. It is unrelated to my appreciation o' his character, determined earlier.

I want to watch the next Doctor Who, I live in Birmingham, what channel should I tune in?

Equivalent in all areas.

Does it include Northern Ireland? I may be out there in April or May.

Yes.

What about in Dublin?

Yes.

Are you sure? I don't have satelite tv
