Not a side character like the Dark Knight or a complete joke like Batman Forever.

He’s a tragic character when done right, and he mirrors Batman’s own split personality. There’s some really interesting things you can do with him.

what's stopping you from going to warner's right now and pitching it yourself

I'm not Jewish

You'd need two movies. That's the problem.

Even BTAS had Harvey's initial arc take two episodes.

He was a pretty big part for a side character in tdk, but I dont think he'll be any bigger

I would if I thought they would take some random fan seriously.

He’s incredible in the animated series. It’s crazy that a cartoon was more mature than any live action portrayal of the character. You feel so bad for him.

All you need is a firm handshake, God damn kids these days

His character doesn’t have to be too stupid or comic booky. You could play it straight. Nobody in the movie should ever call him “two-face”
They should just call him Harvey throughout the whole movie, like Batman does in the animated series. Bruce Wayne was his personal friend. Batman always addresses him by his first name. His suit doesn’t have to be perfectly down the middle either. It could just be two suits that he cut up and stitched together in a manic episode, like Catwoman’s suit in Batman Returns.

There’s so much cool shit you can do with him. You should foreshadow it with lighting. I mean look at this shot from Return Of The Jedi.

They play with imagery like this all the time in the comics.

This shoots it in the foot though. Literally as soon as this happens you remember that this is a show for babies.

I mean yeah, it’s still a cartoon from 1992. Some of the mental health scenes with his therapist are a little cringe, but check out this scene. It’s like something out of a horror movie.

I was really hoping he'd be the main villain in the Dark Knight Rises, since we only got the last quarter of the Dark Knight dedicated to him, but Bane was fine I guess.

It seems like Two-Face has been getting the shaft the past decade or so (especially in the Arkham games as he's always just a small side boss) which is a shame cause as you pointed out, he's a really great character.

Don't think he'd work real well in a video game which is probably why he got shafted, though really all those games did that to all the villains not named joker

Not the guy you’re replying to, but I could go the rest of my life and never see the joker in a movie again, and I would be fine with that.

His character is so over represented, it’s not even funny and he’s not as deep as people think he is.

Yeah maybe you're right. Though that Mr. Freeze fight in Arkham City was great, and even his portion of the DLC in Arkham Knight was not that bad.

Yeah Mr. Freeze is another villain with a great backstory which would be cool to see on film, though I guess has already been done to death.

I don't know, I feel like he becomes hammy after becoming Big Bad Harv. Dark Knight utilized him effectively.

Given the right amount of time and development, the Arkham games could have the definitive Two-Face arc.
>Harvey and his friendship introduced in Asylum
>Harvey's mental health and being disfigured by "X" in City
>Rise and Fall of Two Face in Knight
(I say "X" cause they could use that story beat to punch up a side villain like Zsasz or Black Mask).

I mean, the Man-Bat storyline was perfect.

I 100% agree with everything you said.

Batman Forever actually got his origin story 100% right.

There was no factory scene where he’s tied to a chair and blown up in the comics. It was just some mobster who threw acid in his face during a trial.

In the games it was even more obnoxious as Joker was dead and still pretty much the main villain of the game, and now he's already been teased for the next movie but I feel like they may just be trying to throw us off with him
I'm doubting he'll be in a movie anytime soon, or at least a somewhat comic accurate version of him since he's more of an over the top character

That would have been the perfect overarching plot of Arkham Origins
I think they teased a Deathstroke story but gave us the Joker instead
Can't remember, but I liked the game

>I'm doubting he'll be in a movie anytime soon, or at least a somewhat comic accurate version of him since he's more of an over the top character

Good point. Though I guess that's where the creativity of the screenwriters comes in for them to attempt to "modernize" a Mr. Freeze character. lol, ya I know.

Do you think they could do something with the Mad Hatter or would he be too over the top as well? I always felt his stalkerish pseudo-rapey vibe would make as a great villain in a Batman movie.

Not too sure don't know much about Hatter, probably would make him like scarecrow or something

Mr. Freeze doesn’t need to be modernized. Literally just make “Heart Of Ice” in live action. Keep the suit minimal, like the one in the animated series. Plain black metal suit with a glass helmet and some tanks on his back. He doesn’t need a shining suit of armor with LED lights like the one in Batman & Robin.
