The only white, wholesome, non-subversive, no woke message, no POCs film in the slate

>the only white, wholesome, non-subversive, no woke message, no POCs film in the slate

No one cares about Irish shit.

Because protestants filth are a much bigger threat to jesus

Because r posters are retarded and are just normies, only they follow retarded incel trends.

Maybe it’s the fact that the marketing team made this movie look like a cheap Roma, when it’s actually good on it’s own.

What the fuck is the movie even about? I've seen it mentioned so many times and not one person has talked about anything from the movie. Did you even watch it, OP?

Celtics are the only white people. Everyone else is non-white.

im thinking kino

it's past your bedtime, bongo

It's a rather simple film about a Protestant family in Belfast right at the outbreak of The Troubles. It's about the family slowly coming to terms with their increasingly fragile situation and need to leave their hometown. It's simple, but it's told from a young boy's perspective and is very wholesome.

>The Troubles

See, I don't even know what that is. Seems like an extremely niche movie for people that live in the country that event occurred in. Only a fucking brainlet would think all whites would be able to relate to that.

I only watch a movie if I can relate to the themes or it has actors I like and this movie doesn't meet either prerequisite and that's why nobody has seen it.

You're a fucking idiot

Did you really reply just to say that? Tell me more after I filter this thread despite having most of the board filtered. Fucking low iq sub-human. Eat my fucking shit.

god I fucking hate Americans so much

Congrats on gushing about a film you haven't seen
It's a really good film though

>why isn't Any Forums supporting Belfast for the best picture award
Because it's bland oscar bait. We literally had this exact same movie 3 years ago except it was in Spanish so nobody gave a shit.

Catholicism is based on the belief that there can only be one church on earth, and they believe that the first pope was the apostle Peter.

Protestant religions began approximately around the creation of the printing press, and the return of literacy to Europe. Because few people could read the Bible, and in many cases, Catholics forbade reading the Bible, the Catholic church created all manner of rules to extort money from the populace (which they used partially to fight Islam's incursions). When Europeans eventually read the Bible and compared Catholicism to Jesus's teachings, they weren't happy. Enter Martin Luther.

Differences Rundown:
1. Catholics believe that you can only be forgiven for sins if you request forgiveness through the Catholic church. Protestants just ask God directly. There was a time when Catholics taught that the payment of money would absolve sins.

2. Catholics created a new stratum of heaven called "purgatory." You were sent here to be cleansed of sin. However, a simple *large* payment to the Church would release you from purgatory. When protestants/literates pointed out that the Bible doesn't mention purgatory, they were deemed heretics.

3. Catholics worship and pray to dead humans that they consider holy. For example, Mary (the mother of Jesus) is considered holy and worthy of worship. To protestants and other literates, she is just another dead human - however nice and devout she may have been.

4. Catholics created 'fanfiction' about Jesus and Mary and required their followers to consider it Christianity. One of my favorites is to point out to Catholics that Jesus had a brother, James. Catholics were told that Mary was a virgin and *remained* a virgin, yet the bible quite clearly states that she had another child named James - who at first didn't believe in Jesus, and then did.

>difference between catholics and protestents
In Ireland?
Catholics: angry bastards who got diddled as children and hate the British even though the British gave them Catholicism
Protestants: dumb cunts with stockholm syndrome who ignore everything Britain is actually doing and support ultra puritanical policies under the guise of "for the queen"

Well there is that Indian sweets shop owner and the teacher was clearly non-white too. And I think one of the kids walking out of the school was non-white too. But everyone that mattered was white.

I watched it today and gotta agree, it's very good and pleasantly wholesome, as well as educational (I knew very little about the Troubles and am now a bit more knowledgeable after having looked it up).
A well-written, personal script by Branagh (there was only one scene which felt a bit ridiculous, when the riot police came at the end and there was the showdown with the throwing of the rock) but otherwise everything else was completely believable.
The cast feels natural (except for Judi Dench, dunno why but she always takes me out of immersion) and the mother and the boy give an exceptional performance.
The music was perhaps a bit ill-fitting at a few times, but I suppose that using songs by Van Morrison was Branagh making a certain statement in these times.. for that, I applaud him.

An altogether solid film, one of the better films I've seen in years, and will be recommending it.
