Mithril stops all bludgeoning damage

>mithril stops all bludgeoning damage
So could frodo just jump off cliffs then?

maybe if he wears full armor of mithril, but vest alone wont save him

I hate plot armour so fucking much.

Lotr is a fairy tale, for >muh realism go watch/ read got

Yeah in the books he skis across the Misty mountains using the armor and hits incredible high speeds by timing his jump arcs

but got isn't realistic

In books it doesnt stop all damage like the movies make out. In the books its more like a chain mail but light. Frodo doesnt get hit by a cave Troll, he gets hit by an orc so its not bludgeon damage of 1000 force power.
Hackson being hackson as usual.

>for >muh realism go watch/ read got
Yes, because zombies and dragons are real. I would happily watch people like you hang yourself.

in the books he takes it off and uses it as a helmet while skateboarding for safety first

only if he wears it on his feet

>GOT
>realistic
Lol, arya getting stabbed and BOTB beg to differ

what would happen if you punched someone while wearing mithril gloves would you do no damage to them

He might survive but it’d more likely due to his small stature than anything.
Less mass = less fall damage
or something like that

Mithril is like normal chain mail but much much more lighter. Its not like its magically endowed to stop a meteorite if you wore it.

There’s obviously a limit to how much force it can stand. Think of them bullet proof vets but super powered. Bulletproof vests will still lead to bruises and rearrange your organs depending on the bullet and gun

has anyone tested that?

Mithril hardens when exposed to sudden extreme pressure. It essentially formed a 1000-times-stronger-than-steel column around frodo's torso when he got hit with the pike

No, but in the books the main fcous of it was that it was light. Having much lighter armour that still protects from everything a steel armour would protect from is a major advantage.

Lotr is more realistic than Got though

Now I want a medieval Mythbusters cartoon or something.

did hackson forget he was wearing this armor when the spider stabs him?

Bravo Troonkien

Stabbing isn't bludgeoning damage tho

Yes.
In the book she stings Frodo in the neck.

Bilbo says it's hard as dragon scales. It could be like a ferrofluid where it can move around freely but as soon as it's struck hard, it becomes rigid spreading the force of the blow out and essentially becoming plate for a small amount of time.
