Michel Thomas is just audio (tapes), right? Can't I just put it on my phone and listen to it on the go?
Has anyone tried? I know the courses he made himself were good.

What parts of England pronounce them differently? I know Keats rhymed "shores" and "moors" in one of his poems, so I assume the merger is complete in the South (and has been for a while).

The North of England pronounces them differently, my grandparents do and they're from Yorkshire.

Didn't notice there was a thread already. Posting my challenge again

>Easy
Death is a part of life; you cannot escape it.
Eat healthy and you might live longer
A person can die at any point in time; you cannot foresee it

>Medium
Scientists have for ages been looking for different ways to combat and reverse aging in order to achieve immortality.
The reason as to why we age and eventually die is because of celluar aging. The more our cells divide and multiply, the weaker they get.

>Hard
The personification of death has been portrayed in numerous folklores and mythologies. The most popular personification of death, at least in the west, is the Grim Reaper, who is often depicted as a berobed, scythe-wielding human skeleton. The Grim Reaper uses his scythe to cause death to their victims by collecting their soul.

I made that first comment and I'm a Yorkshireman too (East Riding)

Hello Spanish user I had a rough choice to choose one language to learn from four (Russian, Spanish, French, Mandarin) and I settled for Spanish because it's apparently the easiest to learn for an English speaker.
Now I enrolled on a 1 year course at Babel, bought several supplementary books and got a 2500 word frequency dictionary on my Kindle.
I am learning Latin American Spanish on Babel.
I want to be fluent at both Spain Spanish and Latin American Spanish.
What is your advice for me?

Thoughts on the Turkment alphabet (1993-1999)?

Are you ESL? We don't say spaʊ, spæ:ɹ, or waʊn. We don't have aspirated voiced stops either.

>Are you ESL?
No. Seethe.

Find me a single example of a native speaker pronouncing the vowel in "spa" as [aʊ].

Don't feel like it

YWNBAEFL (you will never be an EFL)

ok?

What is the semantic difference between conditional and subjunctive in Spanish?
