Yes and it was entrapment so most couldn’t be charged but they were destroyed socially and often dumb enough to confess to other crimes.

No, it wasn't. We have this discussion every 15 minutes. A sting op is not entrapment. Entrapment is when you are coerced into doing something you would not normally do and charged for it. If the cops had said, "hey, show up at this residence at this time and molest this kid or I will murder your whole family", that would be entrapment. If someone pretends to be a kid online, you see that kid and attempt to engage in sex with them, it is not entrapment.

This is only the case for the first season before they started working with the cops.
Later on they were all convicted because they did not reach out to the predators and never egged them on in the chats, they let the predators do the persuing.
Though the all got hit with Attempting to solicit a minor and stuff and not for actually doing it of course, but it still gets them put on the list.

Certain crimes are deemed heinous enough that even attempting to commit them is a punishable offense. All of these men believed they were talking to a child and attempted to procure said child for sex. That is an attempt, and the attempt is criminal in and of itself. It's like if you try hiring someone to kill your spouse and the hit man turns out to be a cop, or just turns you in because they're a decent person, you still get hit with attempted murder
