Will it set a new record low for viewership?

Will it set a new record low for viewership?

yeah.

i dont even know what's nominated

I don't even care if they get humiliated

Dune is the only one I have any interest in.

Yes

DUNC

The last Oscar's I watched was 2015 because I wanted to see how many awards Mad Max got. I never truly cared about it and now even the general public knows how decrepit and hypocritical Hollywood and its denizens are.

>THIS will get people watching!

probably not, last year's sinkhole is hard to surpass

Can't get worse than last year, that was pathetic

At least Jimmy Kimmel will no longer hold the award worst host

>intentionally seeking out the most annoying people in the industry
what could possibly go wrong

I haven't seen a single movie nominated for best picture this year

same, and the only ones I'm somewhat interested in are DUNC and Drive My Car. I guess Licorice Pizza too just because it's PTA

I haven't seen any of these, though I've been meaning to see The Father and Dune.

how long will the ukraine virtue signaling tributes last for?

I only saw Nightmare Alley and thought it was a 6/10. No clue why it was nominated.

because del Taco made it, and he's one of the token Mexicans. any film made by del Taco, Curaón, or Iñárritu will be nominated for best picture in current year

watch belfast

I watched Dune against my will and enjoyed it. Only one Ive seen

Would have been amazing if it wasn't literally half a movie

only Branagh's Shakespeare films are worth watching

Doraibumaikaa (translator's note: Drive My Car)

Don't Look Up is Black Panther levels of awful, awful selection but without the same mass appeal. I hope they kill themselves off..

Look, Oscars are a trash heap nowadays but it's not because turbo normies like you don't know the nominants. If anything, that part is normal and has always been consistent. Year after year after year, out of the 8 Best Picture nominess, only 1 or 2 gets a massive international release and thus normies know about them. This year it's Dune. Last year it was Monk. The year before it was Joker and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. They don't nominate a lot of mainstream movies for best picture.

>this will boost our ratings

It will some how be the biggest viewing event of the year.
