Love story wasn't needed. Otherwise perfect film and I'm glad Batman lost

A bit too long. Riddlers final scheme underwhelmed. Other than that. It was excellent

Batman is a retard.
Catwoman and the Mayor are annoying.
Riddler is cringe.
Action is lame.
No cool gadgets.
Dialogue is awful.
The story is stupid.
Three hours long.

>batman surviving a bomb at point blank range
>alfred surviving a bomb at point blank range
>batman's gay gasp before gliding
>the missing white girl dying off screen
>riddler's victims mostly die off screen
>we don't see riddler's victims doing bad things or good things, so hard to care about their deaths or even side with riddler
>vroom vrooming to let penguin get away
>the reporter Thomas Wayne kills is not fleshed out. No name, body, headstone, grieving family member, child etc. Hard to care for a nobody.
>Riddler's incel ending
>black mayor doesn't even get head shotted by snipers.

A zoomer wrote this

die boomer

It really is a half painted picture

Zoomers are the ones shilling for The Batman. He’s gay and Emo like them.

I overall liked it but also found a lot of secondary things in it that dont really work
>trying to tarnish Thomas Wayne
>once again making something convoluted out of the murder of the Waynes
>Batmans detective skills are very plot dependent, simultaneously cracking complex cryptograms and missing obvious clues as the plot demands
>similarly his plot armor blocks close range automatic rifle fire and minutes later he is then blown off his feet by a shotgun
>the shooting and flooding is just a bit overdone, surely the shooting alone would be enough
>the attempt at political relevance is lame
How do you like something overall while finding problems with elements of it, I dunno

Also just tired of the will they/wont they coy game between Batman and Catwoman, just have them hookup and enter a relationship early on, you save time for the rest of the story and have something new to explore

riddlers villains are crooked, we're not really supposed to sympathise for them

>>the reporter Thomas Wayne kills is not fleshed out. No name, body, headstone, grieving family member, child etc. Hard to care for a nobody.
Edward Elliot
it happened 20 years before the films story

>batman surviving a bomb at point blank range
Knocked him out but small explosion anyway (you even posted the size of it)
>alfred surviving a bomb at point blank range
He threw the bomb before it exploded, learn what point blank means
>batman's gay gasp before gliding
He's human and nervous
>the missing white girl dying off screen
The fuck? If you knew she was murdered it wouldn't be a mystery on where she was
>riddler's victims mostly die off screen
First dies on screen, second has face eaten so a bit too graphic, third literally explodes on screen, fourth is Batman, fifth is Falconi, 6th is all the Gotham people? Which was off screen except for the rat?
>we don't see riddler's victims doing bad things or good things, so hard to care about their deaths or even side with riddler
The entire plot is that they're corrupt because they stole the orphanage money and allow criminals to get free and distribute drugs because they too use them and profit
>vroom vrooming to let penguin get away
Wut
>the reporter Thomas Wayne kills is not fleshed out. No name, body, headstone, grieving family member, child etc. Hard to care for a nobody.
Thomas didn't kill them, Falconi did for leverage over Thomas. The reporter was Roger Elliot, explained in the film
>Riddler's incel ending
He's insane?
>black mayor doesn't even get head shotted by snipers.
OK

We don't see them doing crooked things. We don't even meet most of them until they're already dead.

Still, he is referred to as "the reporter" even by Bruce, because is a complete ghost character. Do they even say his name once? I don't recall. His name appears on Riddler's autistic slideshow.

>user doesn't understand anything spoken unless its written on screen

DC music always so kino

Batman revs up the batmobile while Gordon and Catwoman get shot at. He literally waits there vroom vrooming so Penguin can waddle into his car and drive off.

We do see the Mayor playing with his son in a ninja costume (halloween) at the beginning of the movie. That's a thing we see him do.

Geoff Johns

His car stalls the first time he tries to floor it if I remember the scene correctly

we learn about their corruption after their death as the Riddler exposes it after he kills them
>a character dead 20 years is a ghost character that remains off screen and never seen
no, really?
what do you want, bruce to visit his grave?

With the teasing of the venom serum in the final scenes it's awesome to know this batman has already met Bane in his travels

Batman encountered Venom before Bane

Bane?

It's a fucking bomb. That "small bomb" killed the DA but it just knocks out batman clean?
>He's human and nervous
Still homosexual. Men shouldn't open their mouths like that. He could have just stumbled a little to give off the same effect, without being homo.
>The reporter's background was not fully explained in the film. His murder was significant but all we got were a couple of lines of dialogue about him.
Riddler was reduced to the worst stereotype of an incel instead of some menacing villain or genius.
>The entire plot is that they're corrupt because they stole the orphanage money
The movie didn't actually SHOW them do that. It was all TOLD.

If he were just suicidal or trans he would be like the gen Z triple threat

Yes visit his grave. Go visit your parents grave then go visit this reporter's grave. Meet a grieving family member. Humanize him. Maybe a woman that is the daughter of the reporter around same age as Bruce is there for him to meet. Could do anything with this. Maybe this family member helps Riddler. This is a huge plot point that's never been done on the big screen and they skipped over it like the Wayne's deaths.

Why should the audience care about a ghost character? Why should it hit Bruce so hard? The audience is numb to seeing violence and death, why should they care about this one?

>Batman is a retard
Why do you fags jump to such black and white criticisms? Reeves wrote this Batman to be smart, but someone who makes critical errors in judgment. Riddler even laughs in Batman’s face for this. It was 100% by design

>Men shouldn't open their mouths like that.

I understood, it just wasn't developed enough. Hence the characters referring to this guy as just "the reporter". Try to keep up.

the accusation as a whole hit bruce
not so much the dead guy
I wrote this I think trying to tarnish Thomas Wayne is lame
But you're being a retard

>It's a fucking bomb
One strapped to the neck of a guy and the other in proximity but wearing armour. Yeah real mystery why one survived a small explosion and one died
>Riddler was reduced to the worst stereotype of an incel instead of some menacing villain or genius
The guy literally succeeded at everything he wanted except the team up with batman that he was delusional about. Plus like I said, the dudes insane.
>The movie didn't actually SHOW them do that. It was all TOLD
You needed a scene of them standing at an atm withdrawing money or something?
