You will live to see the Republic of Australia

What went wrong?

Will be kino if they redesign the flag too

that "quote" is from some literal random person nobody has ever heard of but who supports a republic, not the pm
well done getting baited though

Why though? It's not like it will change anything practical why go against tradition for no reason?

they might actually become a country if thats the case
but the white australian phenotype is low IQ in principle, so they are fine with being ahistorical and permanently a penal colony

don't think so mate

doubt it

why the fuck they have her as head of state anyway

>New Australian PM pegged

because it's soul

In their manifesto they want a Republic, although all previous labor pms always made it a second term issue to tackle. So not for a while.

they should do it after the queen croaks
who wants to have chuck as their king

instead of having a queen of straya strayan law should say that a head of state of israel is also automatically head of state of straya

>Chinese foreign affairs minister
>removal of Elisabeth

Reeks of WEF

by the queen herself

why does labor want to kill australia?

You’re acting like there hasn’t been a near 50/50 split on the issue of a Republic since 1999

That's just part of the inauguration ritual innit?

we're not Jewish enough for that

Love the Monarchy me

Rorke will NOT like this

It's completely nonsensical. Dropping the monarchy makes little practical difference, especially in relation to the effort, money and distraction from other issues it will cause. It's essentially a symbolic figurehead position anyway.
Those are all kind of "feel-good" or theoretical issues rather than pragmatic ones. I doubt most non-white Australians even think about this for more than a few seconds a year or would put it at the top of things that affect their lives.
The referendum cost something like ~$300,000,000 to run last time and we voted no, it wasn't that long ago and Australia wasn't that different. It isn't time yet for another.
The GG is the real head of state in practice anyway and it is attainable to Australian citizens.
Just based on the cost of changing coins, stationary, the vote, the campaigns and not to mention distraction from much more pressing issues, it just isn't worth the return. Nothing much will change, the streets wont be paved with gold, pretty much no one will be better off for what is a symbolic change.
