I guess mostly the main and adjacent maintained roads from Belarus border checkpoint to the powerplant, Chernobyl and Dytiatky is mined, can't see the point of mining anything else because it would be pointless. Euphoric to say the least. But until I got to Pripyat (two day hike 27km'ish a day) I was scared shitless because I was afraid I will be jumped by wild animals even though they mostly ignore people couldn't shake that thought, saw tons of footprints and feces (you can easily see them because I walked along high voltage transmission lines the ground was flat) even heard some noises but never seen one not to mention looking out for patrols but they wouldn't do much just fine me for a small sum of 15 euros trough a court then tell me to leave the country. Had to go alone because my friend bailed on me the last moment and I just said fuck it because I thought (with a good reason turns out) that I won't have another opportunity to go due to work or some other life related stuff.
