Why didn't Teddy just break into his house, tear up everything that would link him to Teddy, and then never talk to him again?

This is the only cerebraln movie Nolan ever made. He obviously doesn't trust the audience anymore.

Brilliant film. Shame the director died. There's some retarded impersonator out there. But we remember. Where am-

All the heavy lifting was done by his brother Jonathan Nolan, who also wrote the Batman screenplays as well as The Prestige.

>Teddy
Who

Lenny has the $200k Teddy wants. He can either try to finesse it out of him or rip it off, but as he admits, Lenny is an excellent killer, so he opts for subterfuge, which was ultimately the wrong course of action for him.

>Jonathan Nolan
>screenwriter of westworld

Bullshit

He lacks faith in the man's recovery, whether that is a valid point or not, and is using him. He's trying to justify it by saying that if he helped his friend find the original killer, and then his friend owes him a solid. Lenny never consented, nor would he ever be able to. Teddy probably should have capped him the moment he smiled like that in the photo, because without a chance of recovery, that's the happiest he would ever be.

Lenny!

How did he remember he had a memory issue?

Jonathan didn't write the film, only the short story it was inspired by which it has barely any resemblance to.

How did Guy Pearce get away with being a leading man for so many years? Dude fucking sucked.

Is Teddy actually telling the truth about him already having killed the real John G?

Ha. Reading this, I only just realised this is why Teddy tries to trick Lenny into giving him the drug dealers car in the first real scene

>inb4 there was no John G, Memento Guy was Sammy Jankis

Yeah. Evidence in the film is pretty heavily in favour of it.

Also Nolan pretty much confirmed it and said how weird it was that so many people refused to believe Teddy’s confession at the end

dunno about that but he def shouldn't have killed teddy

That brief flash of Lenny sitting in the mental asylum instead of Sammy Jankins is interesting though

that ending fucked with me bros

I think that just shows Lenny was likely institutionalised for a period of time in between his injury and his search for vengeance. And he got out by faking it well enough to get the doctors to sign him out rather than just running off

It’s pretty interesting watching guy pearces performance where he always LOOKS like he recognises whoever he’s talking to, but manages to do so in such a way where you buy he’s faking it
