I don’t get why stone henge is such a big attraction. Especially now we know exactly how and why it was buiilt

but isnt there a polish island that where home to some norse? if you start renovating old medieval churches you will find loads of them

techno

>but isnt there a polish island that where home to some norse?
Yes exactly, the Island of Wolin. Vikings had a camp Jomsborg there but I don't think they had a church there, I'm pretty sure all the churches in this region were erected later

How come vikangs could fashion themselves some very nice and quality looking swords, armor and jewelry, and ocean crossing boats, but their art was out of a 5 year old's notebook?

>I'm pretty sure all the churches in this region were erected later
Same here but they often used local rune stones in their construction.
A church near me was built in 1178 and it has 11 rune stones in the walls.

>Yes exactly, the Island of Wolin. Vikings had a camp Jomsborg
