Breastfeeding is not feasible in the USA since there is no maternity leave and women have to return to work within days of giving birth. And it's obviously not possible to breastfeed the baby at work, so women leave the newborn with daycare, who have to feed the babies formula.

This is not true at all. You seem to think that only a women that has recently given birth can lactate. Literally anyone, even you, can lactate. It was very common for men to breastfeed in medieval times when women often died in childbirth. You just need to physically stimulate the mammary glands by pump or having a baby suck on them.

It takes time to pump, you need to do it like every two hours and the results aren't the same as breast feeding. A lot of jobs won't let a woman leave every few hours to go pump milk (where? nearly impossible in the bathroom), store it (again, where?) and then go clean the entire stupid machine set up.
