The best region is the triangle of tierra caliente (states that are part of that region are michoacan, guerrero the state of mexico and morelos. Our music is banda (banda originated in morelos), sones with violin, harp music and campirano/sierreño with requinto (the most authentic campirano music comes from our region). The only music that is truly norteño is the ramon ayala style accordeon music.
