why would you want to

Piss easy

That's great to hear. Any recommendations where I should apply?

I love the British and the Irish

A job yes, a job you want difficult
A job you want and a good life in this place, keep dreaming

You can be a salesman in a houseshare commuting 16 hours a week and getting no savings 100% though

Why is that so difficult? Do you think it's the case for both Dublin and London?

They are definitely nice people. Most of the people I've met IRL are pretty outgoing people.

not sure was easier when we were stil in the EU.

problem with ec*n is that a lot of people study it and a lot of people unironically do phds in it.

you could get a job in valuation at PwC, Deloitte, Ernst & Young or KPMG and then when you've got a few years of experience you could quite easily begin a career in investment banking

What's an econ. Can you build stuff like that, I probably can. I built it in the 15th century.

Always good for business though. Banking.

dublin might be easier because no visa requirement. if you did 5 years in dublin, you could ditch your german passport, get an irish one and then come to london.
i think its competitive. there are only so many, good, banking jobs out there.
a good chunk of econ grads become chartered accountants at the Consultancy houses or join the civil service. Neither of which are bad options per se.

What’s the point of econ or business degrees anyway? Most people i know of that work in finance, stock markets, banking etc have degrees in analytical mathematics, or just pure maths. Not econ or finance

don't bother with this shit country

it's funny because here it's actually not that popular, many more people do business studies. Also thats why I'm considering Dublin, since I thought it may be easier with the EU

I'll check that out, but investment banking isnt necessarily my dream job. Very poor work life balance from what I heard and extremely competitive

Can you also get double citizenship? I don't want to give up being German

It's not a bad degree, it depends on the position. You probably won't be building trading options models or anything, too mathematical

>Can you also get double citizenship? I don't want to give up being German
germany doesnt allow it. why wouldn't you want to give up being German? Ireland and Germany are both EU.

London has a skills shortage. Im in product marketing and increased my pay from 35k to 75k in the space of 2 years because companies are so fucking desperate. You'll be fine, but do it now.

Okay then I'll definitely apply for jobs there. I'm more interested in finance mostly

Those bastards. I just would like to stay German, it's where I come from, and also where my Germany lives. And there's no guarantee that Ireland will always be a part of the EU or that the EU exists forever

FYI related to what I said.

People are refusing to commute to London as well, and especially big finance companies want bums on seats

That's really good to hear, thanks man
