In serious, my thought on this matter is that it is a byproduct of 19th century Evangelical Christianity that spread throughout Scandinavia, North America, and Britain. These were the areas that not coincidentally also had large prohibition and sabbatarian movements.

Nordic countries have produced alot of science and tech in the last 200 years. Swedes and danes contributed alot to chemistry and physics. Finns contributed alot in telecommunications. Norwegians didn't do shit
