Do you think the this movie will have sequel? It was heavily implying about the Catholic Heir rising to power.

looks like some söy trash
I don't watch snownigger propaganda
i didnt see it, fuck off to Any Forums
I don't think Eggers would make it a franchise
No i think it was just a way to show that Amleth's part in the transmission cycle was over.
I'm not interested in a sequel either, the film was fantastic but this trend of making "sequels" only produces forced movies, but apparently the next two projects of Eggers will take place in Elizabethan england, so probably another Shakespearian fever dream, and the other will be about Nosferatu.
Can't wait.
Also the people they hire to make movie poster must be hanged.
Sadly the movie didn't generated profits
This movei dissproved "go woke go broke"
a good, all white cast movie, complete flop lmao
I am amused by the fact that an off hand remark about some slaves being christian was enough for Any Forums incels to pretend that this movie is about the rise fo Christianity or whatever
i cant understand how woketards expect there to be a bangladeshi or a sub saharan in 10th century fucking iceland
It was a slow arthouse movie full of symbolism on masculinity, Shakespearian and Norse mythology reference.
There is no way in hell it could have made any profits, the VVitch had a 4M$ budget, the Lighthouse had 10M$, and the Northman 90M$, no arthouse movie is going to be able to compensate such investments.
it flopped plus its racist
fuck snowniggers
the VVitch had 4 million budget and it looked better than any big budget movie hollywood shat out that year (on top of being better movie in itself).
Honestly I am kind of surprised Northman was that expensive
>a good, all white cast movie
It's not good. If there was a black viking somewhere in the background you would cry about it being trash, and use your "go woke go broke" (because it would've flopped anyway) argument again. In reality it's a bad movie, that can't decide if it wants to he an over the top fantasy action or grim and gritty period drama. Literally the only notable quality of the film is the lack of token minorities, but considering the subject matter it's something obvious and not worthy of praise.
Racist?
A scandi kingsson murdered his own kinsmen and married a mixed slave witch. thats the most progressive relationship and storyarch available for that time and place. You can't call it racist if the hate is towards whities.

Where did you get this picture of my vikang ancestors
The setting was cheaper, you find a good deserted place in the U.S, buy the right to shoot, send bus tickets to the whole crew, buy some tents, pay your actors, hire a good photography director and skillfull craftmen for the costumes, the props and the shack, and voila you have a good looking movie without spending a lot.
The Northman was clearly more ambitious, just having to shoot in Iceland with such a large crew probably costed the entire VVitch budget.
The movie was very high effort, lets give praise where it is deserved, they truly nailed the atmosphere.
An all white cast is not the problem though, I don't think adding a token ( X race) would've helped the numbers, it was maybe a failure in the promotional aspect of it, it didn't let itself known (at least here in meheco
>full of symbolism on masculinity,
Name scenes that had symbolism on masculinity
they say things like slav bitch etc
Robert Eggers movies are boring
>no diversity
DROPPED HARD
I'll start to say the same thing in /tv, this will trigger chuds onto the next dimension
>Amleth carries an unbreakable sword that can only be unsheathed at night, he must use it to save his mother and slay her husband, his mother comment it to be "too long", you cannot make a more heavy handed metaphor
>When he's captured and Fjollnir cuts his son heart from his belt, the shot is made to imply castration
>Aurvandill last interaction with his wife was to refuse sex because he's "wounded", it comes after Hemrir comment on how her cup do not wet for "sweet silver but for hardened steel"
>Amleth is presented as an animalistic masculine figure that is tamed by a woman, the whole movie is expressing some forms of dualism between either Amleth and Olga or Amleth and Fjollnir.
Those are the obvious one, for the rest people would accuse me of overanalyzing.
