When your ancestors were creating civilization in your respective regions, they were influenced by the civilizations surrounding them who also were influenced, this goes for every single civilization.
Simple examples
Indus valley invention Chess is based on Babylonian Royal game of Ur
The Indian numeral system takes inspiration from the Mesopotamian one
(All these arrived to India through the Indus valley civilization which had extensive trade with Mesopotamia.)
This is not to say these aren't Indian inventions, they definitely are but they all came forth from a foreign civilization's influence
Even the Mesopotamians took inspiration from one another, the Akkadians are not the same as Sumerians who came before them but they moved southwards into Sumerian lands and their cultures combined.
So when you try to invalidate a civilization because it took inspiration from another then you'd have to invalidate YOUR civilization because it's likely also based on another, plus even if you were to attribute Islamic civilization to someone else it'd be Mesopotamian considering the Moses saved from river story is stolen from Sargon of Akkad(Search his backstory) and the flood is also stolen from Mesopotamian mythology.
