Root beer isn't beer, user. It's a brew they came up with during the prohibition. Root beer contains no alcohol. It isn't beer.
Wait until you learn about root bear floats, user
Root beer is vile. I saw it in the foreign products aisle once and decided to try it because of the TV/movie meme. It was a mistake.
i've heard root beer is similar to sarsaparilla/dandelion and burdock, which are both pretty nice. can any Americans confirm?
i ordered one in a 50s themed diner when i was 9 or 10 for the same reason and it was the worst thing i ever tasted
I learned about it from Fallout New Vegas
root beer was my favourite soda as a kid
i dont drink that shit anymoe
When I was in America I couldn't stop drinking Root beer. That stuff is so good.
Similar to Israeli "black beer" where they take the left overs of beer making and turn it into a fizzy sweet alcoholess drink

Tastes like something you'd find in your band medicine cupboard
*Nan's
is that whipped cream on top of beer??
It's one of the few soft drinks I can actually stand, I always find it weird that so many people are disgusted by it. Coca Cola tastes much worse, and makes your teeth furry afterwards.
vanilla ice cream
are you guys fucking serious you've never had root beer?
It tastes like medicine, but if you mix a few with coca cola it tastes great
It's not beer, it's just a mouthwash-flavoured carbonated beverage. It feels very wrong to swallow.
