Every roll he takes on is serious

He was good in Lord of War

He was A/A- list in the 90s

I like the part where he didnt have sex with those girls, because he didnt want to get aids.

He did a good job on Leaving Las Vegas

then for some reason he went directly into big action blockbusters for years

then he went into debt because of that castle he bought and THAT's when he became a joke. he was forced to star in anything for money

He's one of the best actors of all time, and he doesn't even have to rely on those cringe method acting larps. Only redditors think he's bad.

Even at his height he did a ton of off beat stuff. He's a legitimately good actor, a lot of what would be considered his good movies probably wouldn't have worked with anyone but him.

He and DaFoe are on the same level when it comes to range imo, I think Cage just takes whatever role he can get even if it's a shitty movie

Hi David

He is still a well-respected actor but due to money problems he rarely gets serious roles. He is pretty much top tier compared to others in his era:

>Travolta - old fuck that still thinks that he is hot shit
>Willis - old fuck that is just doing it for the money
>Neeson - just an old fuck. Should've sticked to voice roles

he had some decent serious roles but imo he's the best when he hams it up

He sucks and ruins every movie he's in.

National Treasure is a natural treasure.

He was always extravagant and eccentric (and as opposed to most, it suit him well), but that didn't deduct anything from his acting skill. Generally speaking, he's much more natural and believable than the vast majority of actors out there. Though it's true that if you're bothered by his shticks then he can easily turn into a major distraction.

His magnum opus was Vampire's Kiss

He's still respected. He's a fantastic actor - He does 1 really good movie every year or 2, he just does a lot of shitty ones for cash on the side.

That scene never resonated with me because it was playing it off like they were supposed to be insanely sexy or something, but I find black women genuinely unattractive. It would be like trying to seduce Cage with two bears. Like, come on dude.

Leaving Las Vegas

Brilliant.

An user once said "Willem Dafoe is Nic Cage without the cringe." Whenever you see either of them, you know he's giving it his all.
