That's partially true. Hungarian and Finnish share linguistics roots, that can be proven pretty easily with basic ancient words like Szarv From Proto-Ugric *śarwɜ, from Proto-Finno-Ugric *śarwe. Cognates include Finnish sarvi, Estonian sarv, Numbers (Egy-yksi) etc. Lots of word roots can be traced back to the common uralic heritage. Same with grammar
Cultural differences are obvious but the linguistics roots cant be denied, even that some start to relativize it.

I never denied the common roots but the languages are not closely related at all and arrived to Europe in completely unrelated ways. That's why I gave the English-Sanskrit hyperbole. They share the same roots yet they are very distant from each other.
