I can't get a gf because I don't want them to see the pillowcase covered in flakes every morning.

Haven't even started yet.

Not true.

then you're in for a bad time

Buy the cheapest, simplest soap bar you can find at the grocery store, the kind for house cleaning, and wash your hair with it and cold water for a couple weeks
That's how I defeated mine

i have sebderm and have yet to find a treatment that works long term, tried pretty much everything
no shampoo, vinegar, raw honey, nizoral and other medications, no gluten, no dairy, no sugar, etc.
so far nothing has worked for longer than a few months

Me too

Cold bath, dilute bicarbonate in water and wash your head 4 weeks with bicarbonate. Before getting out of the shower, drop cold water on the scalp.

Excess sebum. Cold bath and don't wash your head with a walk that stimulates sebum production. (shampoo or other soap). Buy an inexpensive conditioner without petrolatum. This happens because you remove a lot of fat in the bath and end up stimulating the glands to produce more.

I have dandruff and I just use an anti-dandruff shampoo lol, it completely gets rid of it
I only have dandruff when I don't use it

the only thing that consistently makes it less severe for me is having extremely short hair (1 guard buzzcut)
i tried this as well actually, although i didnt do 4 weeks
i would recommend trying this over the more commonly suggested methods like vinegar because it doesnt make you smell like ass
i did no shampoo for a month as well, do you think a conditioner would be better? i always shower with cold water

how often do you use your shampoo and how long do you leave it in? also which shampoo?

this one btw

I use my shampoo anytime I shower, so usually every one or two days
I leave it on for a little while, I put in on my head, then put soap on my body and then wash off
It doesn't work after the first use, but it stops it after a few days

Any shampoo with pyrithione zinc should work

sucks to be us i guess

This shit unironically changed my life for the better. You should also avoid scratching your scalp as that can introduce bacteria.

I wish it had helped me, but thanks

Yes. first treat the fungus, after use a conditioner to remove sebum but without overstimulating. I have this shit if i use shampoo. Without petrolatum or other oil derivative, silicon and so on

Also bicarbonatum is good 1 time in the week

i don't quite follow you, how would i treat the fungus first without antifungal shampoo?
