>"It’s unnecessary to pay me for such an easy problem," he said. My knees and moving on their own..
Jose Peterson
>God wei
Jacob Hernandez
His reply just makes him seem more arrogant.
Jose Lopez
I've found that the most arrogant people have usually earned their arrogance. People that are good know it and many of them say it. orz
Brody Martin
I would kill myself if I was born looking like that even if I had 150 IQ
Lincoln Peterson
it is because he is born ugly, that he is shunned by the whores and can focus on maths
Nicholas Thomas
He'll burnout in a couple of years
Logan Russell
He's been in the world's best for the majority of his life. Check the IMO stats. Burnout doesn't exist in mathematics or other academic pursuits.
Lincoln Turner
I don't think so, Huang-kun

Every mathematician i know is specifically autistic towards that field, it is hard to imagine them doing anything else. Thus they probably don't suffer from societal expectations.
Thomas Smith
I doubt it will be as bad as people make out, it might be a nice change actually

Do you know *mathematicians* as in those with a specialisation in pure or applied maths? Or people who are "mathematically-minded"/interested in mathematics?
Ryan Mitchell
but does he have sex?
Lucas Baker
I'm talking pure maths and purely math-minded people.
Daniel White
Wow nice. Are they professors or something? When I was in my early teens I spent at least 6 hours a day doing maths and was extremely autistic but now I don't have as much autism and I wish I did. Back then I literally couldn't do anything other than maths but now I don't know what to do with my life. I'm still studying maths but I don't have the same drive of "do or die".
Luis Powell
alright motherfucker see you when you solve a millennium prize problem then
Joseph Roberts
i kneel to my chinese kings, the next step in evolution...
people like him are too autistic to care about sex
Jaxson Bennett
The successful ones have gone abroad due to our small markets, becoming assistant professors and researchers, for some reason mostly in the UK. Equally many are stuck in permanent education hell and some have completely dropped off due to a substance or mental health handicap, they tend to be quite prevalent in these kinds of people.
Aaron Russell
What's the pay like? I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my degrees but I wouldn't mind entering finances, defence, manufacturing etc. using mathematical modelling or methods applied to those (including pure maths). Or maybe something with software.
Levi Kelly
>autism >burn-out from their obsession Doesn't happen
QRD on this fellow. What are his other mathematical exploits?
Owen Kelly
At that point the field of available jobs is very variable. If you're not completely sperg, you can get employed in finances or tech and get the pay of the highest decile, but that is a limitation for many people in the field. (This also applies to theoretical physics people.) If you focus on purely academic research you'll be a poorfag if not unemployed. Depends on your other capabilities.
Benjamin Sanchez
And IT is a renegade card here, if you're good with maths and IT AND can bear coding as an employment, you will obviously earn lots.
Colton Carter
Reminder he's only the ASSISTANT math professor at Beijing University. He's not even that smart.

>During an interview in 2021, the first time Wei drew public attention, he was mistaken for a student because of his unkempt hair and style. Wei also held a sad-looking water bottle, prompting an online push to buy him new bottles. >Soon after that, he was unfavourably called Peking University’s “ugliest maths teacher”. >“A friend sent me one, and some unknown people from out of town also sent some bottles,” Wei said. “But I’m worried about the gift-giving issue and how it affects my teaching ethics.” >According to Jiupai News, Wei also turned down an offer from Harvard to study as a PhD candidate, even though the school promised to waive his English competency test and provide him with an interpreter.
