Tomorrow is the first day of Lent and I've elected to take a break from browsing and posting here until Easter (I spend a lot of time here, time I could be spending praying or with people I love and care about).
Aside from my prayers and other business with God, I'd like to use this time to watch some real good movies and TV shows I haven't seen before. All this time shitposting starts to add up! You know it's bad when you spend more time posting about kino than watching it!
TL;DR Recommend me some kino, only the most kino of kino (doesn't have to be related to religion/Jesus/etc.) for my 6 week break from Any Forums and let's keep each other in prayer
>I spend a lot of time here, time I could be spending praying I refuse to believe this is real you do not have time to kill and think "hmm, I'll pray for an hour"

based, i myself am giving up tv & vidya, so i probably won't be around much either any chads eating pancakes today?
Easter is the highest holy day of the Christian year. It's preparation for that, you reflect upon your relationship with God and where you fall short (your sins) and what you can do to better practice your faith and be more like Christ.
You don't just give up things (although it does help), you're growing in your relationship with God so you're encouraged to good things for Lent as well.

>you do not have time to kill and think "hmm, I'll pray for an hour" I spend a literal hour in prayer whenever I can. It's not that hard if you have a peaceful, quiet environment nearby with no distractions.
My favorite way to do this is Adoration - silent prayer before the Holy Eucharist in a Tabernacle at church. I always come out of every Holy Hour feeling closer to God. It's wonderful.
>not one recommendation yet >not even an Shit board

>I spend a literal hour in prayer whenever I can. no you don't, you sit silently in church for an hour like a weirdo and call it praying instead of meditation

Why are you posting this? Don't throw your pearls to pigs user

meditation is one type of prayer and contemplation is another

>t. never goes to church and hasn't in years Meditation and prayer go hand in hand anyway. Christians should be doing a healthy amount of both. Praying to God while also meditating upon the many many things He's blessed us with.

Oh you of little faith. St. Clare drove the infidels away with the Eucharist. We too can drive away all evil and all demons embracing the power of this Sacrament and our unity to it.
Yes, but why do you need to not eat meat on fridays? I've heard its not just lent, thats every friday.

Satanic fags steal holy communion by pretending to be catholic at mass, then do edgelord things to it. you're deliberately posting images that you know will be mocked and ridiculed >Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
