There's nothing wrong with this mindset.
Humour is interwoven into every aspect of life, and art, life is not (even for the depressed) and endless parade of misery and grey, there's levity to life.
There's nothing wrong with this mindset
you made this thread yesterday
>There's nothing wrong with this mindset.
actually this was debunked
But the telling of the joke diminishes the grim/dark/tough moment that comes before. You can have jokes in a serious movie but it's about where you put them in. It's this mind set that makes me hate the MCU films
No. It helps a scene from becoming too sad or grim.
Sadness and grimness is a part of life just as humour is, when you completely remove it you create a film that feels consequenceless
>too sad or grim.
There's a difference between "Gallows Humour" and a quip which takes an audience out of the film

You're replying to a shitposter baiting for (you)s though.
Any Forums can seethe about it but Whedon did it well. There's a reason 2012 Avengers was such a hit and has essentially been remade repeatedly by the MCU for the past decade
how's your second day on Any Forums going?
ACT, Little ghoul
humorlessness is one of the most infantile personality traits. comes from an intense narcissism, refusal to engage with the world for what it is
>But the telling of the joke diminishes the grim/dark/tough moment that comes before
Not necessarily. It can release the tension, but if the serious moment has already happened and been felt it just serves as a better transition back to levity
ACT, Little ghoul
It's also negatively correlated with intelligence.
ACT, LITTLE GHOUL
