It was cozy.

If they made blockbuster scented air fresheners I'd buy them

more soul

Just hang up a small, fresh piece of carpet.

No era will ever top the 90s

it was shit any one pretending to be nostalgic for it is just a zoomer larping

Blockbuster was soulless compare to Hollywood Video and Family Video.

>Ditch Netflix
This means it relies on nostalgic porn fiends

I liked happy meals

Yeah I didn't start going to Blockbuster until I was in late high school. My local video store was always much better but there came a time it started struggling to keep up. I think Blockbuster lasted another 4-5 years after that before they started closing, too. I can't even find pictures of my local video store anywhere.

>It was SOUL
No, it wasn't. It was annoying and everyone hated it and was mad they put the mom & pops out of business. Blockbuster was shit and I'm not helping you rehab this dead brand.

Give me 1970's faux wood paneling, stale gum in the 10c gum machine, and nicotine and drip-stained drop ceiling any day over your shit corporate crap.

No it wasn't. It shut down all the soulful indie mom and pop VHS shops that were everywhere for many years before Blockbuster showed up.

They had porn and horror and blockbuster had shit.

Fuck you.
Fuck all you faggots who think you know what happened in the 80s and 90s.

Fuck vapor wave and fuck reddit too.

Yeah the real soul was the weird local places and the random rental sections you'd find in grocery stores and gas stations. There was even an appliance store where I grew up that mostly sold things like washing machines and refrigerators that had a rental section. They had a big promotional cardboard cutout of the monster from Xtro in one corner that always scared the shit out of me as a kid.

The first wave of mom & pops had peak soul because they were really just local merchants of whatever who would branch out into vhs rental so you'd get some folks with a tv repair or bait & tackle shop that would do video rental and maybe sell sammiches in the back, too. It was peak soul. OP is a faggot shill who knows not what he shills about.

t. larping zoomer

I want cookie dough bites

Blockbuster was always cancer. It bought out every other store until all rental places were blockbuster.

as in, you had to sell your soul in order to pay off the late fees

What about blockbuster was so comfy? I still remember how it felt to go inside one

the constant nostalgia for blockbusters and made me un nostalgic for it

Just give it a rest

they started doing 80s nostalgia for boomers and gen-x in 2001 and it lasted 20 years

It was only 10 years ago for them at the time
