>"The Clone Wars'' was originally an allegory for World War 1 and World War 2.
That actually makes sense considering how much the Original Trilogy borrowed from history and old film serials.

SHE'S 17 YEARS OLD YOU SICK FUCK

>"Clone" sound futuristic (even though the story takes place in the past)
>"Wars" make since as a backdrop to Star Wars

That's how much thought on the day of script writing went into this before all that Wookieepedia stuff.

Before the Prequels, it was speculated to be a war where people were getting replaced with clones.

Even Kenobi was speculated to be a Clone, because of his droid sounding name: R2D2, C3PO, OB1.

Before Prequels and before ROTJ it seemed like the Emperor was going to be a bad Clone of Obi-Wan Kenobi (OB-1)

The Emperor sounded like Obi-Wan and had a weird eyes and grotesque face like a deformed Clone.

It seemed like the Clone Wars was going to be about cloning technology and Jedi clones and with clones more than just being about Clone Troopers.

For me, it's Big Guns.

My understanding is the general assumption by people at the time was the Republic/Jedi thought against Clones.

Which I am guessing were not men but something like orcs but created in laboratory.

There was also a more wild theory that there were cloned Jedi - including Obi-Wan Kenobi being a Clone.

All this ''DUDE THE CLONE WARS WAS ABOUT EVIL CLONES/JEDI CLONES'' bullshit is all fan theories.

There never was any official statement or even a random comic story about the Clone Wars before the prequels.

>french movie
how many naked kids in this one?

This, it was off limits for the EU because George Lucas wanted to do the Prequels and The Clone Wars himself.

Based Tony Arzenta!

Fuck off, pedo-user.

With the aid of the Expanded Universe and videogames:
>they were Mandalorians, they weren't actually Clones but they called them that since they all looked the same
>Anakin Skywalker was a soldier and a pilot
>the Jedi did not interfere in the war since it was too brutal
>the Republic forces them to join by some bullshit politics
>Anakin saves Obi-Wan Kenobi in the front lines
>Obi-Wan likes Anakin and trains him in secret during the Clone Wars campaigns
>Anakin realizes the horrors of the Republic since they for many left the Galaxy fall to shit because it allowed too much freedom and this lead to slavery, different currencies, constant war by letting enemies live, ignorant people electing corrupt leaders.
>Anakin truly thought an Empire to unify everything would be the end of all suffering after a small sacrifice of a little suffering
>Obi-Wan feels dissapointed, just leaves him alone for Anakin to be massacred in the war and rescued by some Sith Lord who could feel his anger and Jedi powers to use him

But unfortunately the Clone Wars didn't happen like this.

What were the Clone Wars before the Prequels?

>Lucas turns the Clone Wars into the basis for the rise of the Empire because the clones became the Emperor’s military
>later retcons so the clones just get replaced by humans for some reason by the time of A New Hope
I don’t get this man’s logic at all when he made a perfectly viable explanation for the Stormtroopers.

Could easily be explained by cloning being expensive and the Galactic Empire not needing elite soldiers.

Just grunts and mooks to keep the status quo.

Employ millions and create a large class of people actually loyal to the Empire.

vs

Huge spending on what are basically flesh droids who are only loyal because they are programmed to be.

>Bad guys used Clones to fight the Republic.
>Republic ended up becoming highly militarised in response.
Basically Droids were Clones.

George doesn't know what the hell he wants. He changes things all the time to suit his weird interpretation of things.
>Old Republic/Empire use clones that get replaced by people.
>Mandalorians are a race of blonde/blue eyed nordic people but also a warrior creed.
>Jedi are wandering/knights/warrior Buddhist types but also bureaucratic like diplomats.
George Lucas' original idea the Emperor was just a puppet head controlled by the military and the Moffs.
Hence why in ANH, Tarkin was topdog even over Darth Vader.

The concept of Star Wars has changed so much and so often.

>Clones just get replaced by humans for some reason
Human cosncripts are free, whereas Clones were an expensive Kamino subscription service.
With the stain of being part of a Jedi coup to take over the Republic after Order 66.

Darth Sidious became discontent with being the frontman handling the profane aspects of the Grand Plan while Darth Plagueis holed up and played with Midichlorian manipulation.

Similar line after Order 66, Sidious chasing the source of the dark in special projects in the Outer Rim & beyond, as Vader & Tarkin types do the profane grunt work.

it's less demoralizing to have real humans as soldiers/law enforcement to the citizens compared to some creepy clones.
It gives the common citizens pride to have their boys enlist for the greater cause.

Stormtrooper clones working on remote places no one in the public will ever visit (like the Death Star) and then have regular Stormtroopers humans working elsewhere.

But why not have both? Stormtrooper Clones and Stormtrooper Humans working together as one army?

Clones and Humans fighting side by side in the Emperor's Army?

That’s how it was in the old canon:
Soon after the formation of the Galactic Empire, they started to clone from multiple templates aside from Jango Fett's.

For example many high ranking Imperial officers served as clone templates.

starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Prime_clone

>Size of the entire Clone Army is 3 million soldiers
>In a Galaxy where there are quadrillions of living beings
To put it into perspective, about 2 million people fought at Stalingrad.
A single battle on an Earth with a billion people would be enough to seriously strain the Clone Army.
