Scream did this, Halloween did this, Final Destination did this, Alien did this. You go see an Alien movie for the big scary alien and you see the old bitch Cigar Weaver doing her obligatory cameo where she tells everyone how much of an expert she is on the xenomorphs because she hid from one in the first movie. It's so fucking tiresome.
