Also nearly every restaurant pools the tips of the night and distributes them evenly, including non-waiting staff, which further nullifies the earnings generated by service. So even if you do well enough/get lucky enough to get a big tip, you're not going to see the whole tip. It's wage theft AND donation theft at the same time.

I disagree with tipping wholeheartedly but thanks to tips delivering pizzas got me through college and then some, would have some nights where I'd work 6 hours and make $150+ since my manager didn't make us declare tips as wages and paid us $0.25 per mile when gas was like $1.79 or something.
