Who's Noone?

Millenials, Zoomers and Any Forums

Prequels are better

Planet > Escape > Conquest > Beneath > Battle

Because it's just decent. It is a classic for sure, but it's not the strongest Sci fi film of its time, so it gets overshadowed by its contemporaries

Idk I like ita old school classic sci fi themes which I feel have been replaced for special effects.

Other than 2001 A Space Odyssey there weren't a lot of other sci fi movies that got mainstream appreciation and it's one of all time greats. Apes also became the first franchise to be merchandise in modern way even before Star Trek.

Which one is the one where he meets humans with psychic powers? I think I've only seen the first one and that one.

CHUD ROGAN SURE LIKE TO TALK ABOUT IT SMDH

I don't know what Tron is doing on the list but overall it's a rather solid collection of various sci fi movies from that decade including adaptations of classic novels, great monster movies, stop motion adventure, even Hammer horror for some reason. Really good decade same as the 50s.

Because it's not actually that good. It's like a weak Twilight Zone episode stretched to feature length

This movie is problematic. The apes are metaphor for black people. No wonder nazi fascists love this movie

What's weak about it? Great characters, make up, suspensful scenes of escape or discovering various things about the ape society?

the whole beginning part where they land on the planet and don’t know what’s going on yet is kino af

It's weird how this film was actually half a courtroom drama and the exploration of morality and all people think of it is OOK OOK MONKEYS SMASHING STUFF.

Second one.

What the fuck was his problem?

That female astronaut was well-chosen for a mission where they might have to restart the human race.

The makeup isn't that good, the mouths don't even move properly. The characters are all one dimensional exposition machines, there's a lot escaping then being recaptured then escaping then being recaptured scenes. And the twist is so obviously telegraphed even if you don't know it going in. And it doesn't look particularly nice either

I miss aryan beauties in films bros

Taylor had everything he needed. A horse, a rifle, a woman. But didn't get what he wanted. And he wanted proof that there's something better than man.
