God damn this show could be brutal at times
LOGH
What was the point of melee weapons ?
No idea what this is from, but sci-fi stormtrooper type lads wielding medieval weapons looks like fun.
I'm about mid way
the alliance lost the war and it feels like it erased the core driving force behind the plot. Is the second part about terrorism? That sounds less engaging than intergalatic war
The use of zephyr particles became so commonplace on the battlefield that it became dangerous to use firearms, hence the melee weapons.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes
Standard operating procedure is to flood spaceships with particles that explode in your face when you fire weapons. Melee space knights become OP in that situation.
>Fuck Terraists
One of the few things both sides can agree on.
fascism fetizhes ancient lifestyles no matter if it's logical or not
if you notice the interior of the imperial ships are more focused on aesthetics where the alliance is more focused on function over form
Minor spoilers below, read at your own risk.
The second half of the show is about Reinhard fighting the remnants of the FPA and trying to solidify his control over the Empire.
i love the show but the earth cult at the end did feel rushed
they could have given them a bit more depth and i wished the main 'galactic hero' characters at least acknowledged most of the people they are shooting were legit mind controlled
It slows down bit during the part you're on, but picks up again in force. This is the slow, contemplative arc that sets up the major events culminating in the finale
Did no one ever try exploding the ship in that case ? I remember LOGH having a lot of crazy people capable of that.
Sounds like they blew their load too soon. I'll still probably finish it at some point
Aesthetics are practical. Living in a mass produced tin can makes you feel like a nameless cog when facing glorious, meaningfully decorated units
You've gotta believe me when I say that the most kino moments are found in the second half.
Fighting happens at multiple light seconds distance, you ain't seeing shit.
They blow up a lot of stuff with them and they become a deciding factor once or twice IIRC
It's not that much gas, it would have been local explosion, enough to kill people in the corridor or incapacitate them.
They have view screens, and the aesthetics are a focus when they land on newly conquered planets.
Also from a meta presentation stance it helps the audience distinguish between two different sci fi fleets.
blessed and based logh thread
>reanimated scenes
>melee combat
the only two things i dislike about the show and one of them can be fixed by watching the Laser Disc release
If a working environment and the uniforms are ugly, the workers will perform less efficiently and maybe even sabotage the operation.
>all these dubs
>for a show that has none
Christians BTFO!
>"Muh pride"
nice trips
Some of the jump gore scenes are so badly timed and overdone that they look comical and ruin the atmosphere of the show. Extreme evisceration and flying intestines out of nowhere.
