People have been taking potshots at him for awhile now but since Blackrock just bought Neil Young’s entire works, and Neil make a big stunt of trying to cancel Joe, now Blackrock has to try and protect their investment. Blackrock just tends to hit harder than randos on twitter because they’re an absolutely fuckhuge company with a ton of money and resources to drag someone through the mud with. The question is whether they wanted Neil to make the big fuss that he did to try and bring him into the spotlight again for awhile, thus making all the music they just got the right to a little more valuable, or if Neil just picked the right on his own.
