I'm quite nihilistic but on any given day there is far more scope to enjoy life than suffer at the behest of it. What about the joy of creating something? I mean what about feeling love, passion, fighting for a cause you find morally worthwhile? What about enriching the life of someone else? What about the pleasure of making the world a better place for your friends, family, society?

if you really do your homework you will find that the vast majority of the problems I listed have come as a result, directly or indirectly from the cause I stated. a reduction of 90% would make it seem like a completely different place. not to mention the immediate effect there would be from the base population reduction, particularly in the US.
same space, same resources but half the population. suddenly jobs for everyone, and no one on welfare apart from the disabled. it would alleviate things massively.
look at the figures involved in terms of economic expense.
it would become a high trust society, people wouldn't think to steal from one another unless they were mentally ill.
you don't have to look far back to the point where people say "people didn't use to lock their doors".

I grew tired of cooming, forgoing it almost completely. I now seek pleasure in aesthetics and something other than the base desires drugs are an exception though as an enhancer. If I'm going to consoom, I will at least do it right, with purpose and intent, getting something purposeful out of all that wasted time.
