11 Oscar nominations
I don't like how it's such a foreign film
Dunc-a-kino
i watch award shows for the politics
I really wasn't too blown away by it but I really can't think of any other decent 2021 movies. Since they don't seem to be following the book much anyway in the sequel they should have him bang his mom and recast chani holy fuck she sucks
>BAFTAS
>not a single nomination in acting categories
Peak dishonesty
BASED
Don't mind if I do!
Green Knight and The Tragedy of Macbeth
deserved desu, i enjoyed it immensely.
wasnt also as soulless as villeneuves other movies.
>tragedy of macbeth
Even if the movie wasn't shit I still wouldn't watch it because making a theatrical adaptation of a shakespeare play is basically the least creative film related thing you could possibly do
Let's wait for the actual awards
You mean 11 Bafta nominations.
The Oscar nominations won't be announced until next week.
Who cares it will get the same at this point
MY REDDIT
MY ZOOMERS
MY GOD IT WAS BAD
I really liked The Green Knight
It got 11 BAFTA nominations. It will win every award for technical filmmaking at the Oscars though, can't really think of a movie with better cinematography and effects in recent years other than Blade Runner of course
>a movie with better cinematography and effects
MUCH CINEMATOGRAPHY
VERY EFFECTS
I hope Zendaya wins for her stunning performance
Only good movies win the Oscar
you like heartless movies right user
take that shit back Ran and Throne of Blood are ascended kino
I'll rephrase this, I don't mind adaptations that actually do new stuff with it (except for the billion fucking versions of romeo and juliet), but movies that are literally just actors reading an unedited shakespeare script annoy the fuck out of me
Last year was a bad year for movies.
