Punks started out as democrats. When their movement started to gain traction in the 80s, during the Regan and Thatcher years when hating faggots was cool and being conservative/republican was the straight norm in Western society, they received a lot of pushback from bible holding institutions.

Yeah no, retarded zoomer. I can see why you believe that, but you have it all wrong. The punk movement from the 70s was more than just counter-culture, it was about fighting back against oppressive institutions that would delegate social-political issues on both macro scales. This is one of the main reasons why for the past 60 years we have seen the political spectrum sway back and forth.
There was a time when institutions and government/state agencies, even police departments, would publicly humilate faggots, queers, trannies, blacks, asians, and so on, and no one batted an eye. Prior to the punk movement, republicans and democrats had the exact same fucking ethics, just different policies on how much they were allowed to oppress these minorities. The political parties did not start becoming divided in their ethics until the Gen X punks moved out of their parent's basements and began having families and career opportunities, and somewhere along the way, they started making millions of dollars to change how democrats viewed ethics in general.
You can thank the punk movement in part for modern-day PC culture, gender identity, and autistic pronouns that are now being taught in our institutions.

Punks were never counter-culture. They were mainstream for their clique. If you talk to a former punk today they'll litearlly say to your face that they were only anti-establishment in order to undermine it so that they could become the establishment and then do all the things that they felt was wrong when the establishment did it to them. That's not what happened at all. What happened was the middle-and working-classes were murdered by globalism, so both parties started competing purely for the attention of the elites. This is what always happens when economic growth stagnates or regresses, people stop cooperating in order to make more shit, and start cooperating to instead take the shit other people have already made, because that has now become a more efficient use of everyone's resources. Then as resources dwindle, you can only support so many elites in the system, so every elite that's created means another has been destroyed. Then the elites start actively trying to destroy each other, using the non-elites as their pawns. What we're seeing right now is elites on the right and left fighting each other for survival. Then what'll happen when whichever side wins, is the winner will immediately splinter into two or more new sides and start the process all over. This will then continue until the system collapses.
