I'm wondering how much actual collaboration was there behind the scenes between them? Because Sam for instance in his video deliberately neither showed nor mentioned that he explicitly told idubbz towards the end that everything was a prank, there was no mention of that in his video and it was edited to keep that illusion for the audience going even when idubbz already knew, eg during the shooting range scenes and the poster handover scene. Now I don't know if that's just Sam doing because that's how he wanted to do it, or because they agreed with idubbz to do it like that to create a bit of drama and a bit of hype
And now a month later the idubbz docu comes out and reveals the other side
Even if they did collab, idubbz did genuinely seem butthurt at the end of it, and he was definitely still extremely butthurt about Sam copyright striking him, even though he claimed otherwise
But at the same time it also kind of felt like he genuinely had a bit of respect and admiration for Sam, or at least for his past MDE work

I really like idubbz perspective on this. He understands meta-irony, hell he's arguably the master of how to do it correctly. And it's great seeing the contrast with how Sam wants to always go full force, fuck it, all in without explaining on anything, whether you get the joke or not is not his concern. And he likes living such an obscure life that nobody truly knows him.

After watching idubbz take, it's pretty obvious that Sam likes the freedom he has, and he's not as upset about the adult swim fiasco as I first suspected. The ironic scumbag lifestyle feels ironic yet at the same time is also his sincere way of living.
I always felt bad that we'll never get another show like million dollar extreme since it was some of the funniest skits I've ever watched, but sam and Nick clearly moved on. I'm sure he feels like his expulsion from adult swim to be extreme, but he did bring it on himself. I think his desire to fail was greater than his talent for comedy. Because with fame he'd probably get brought on to remove his mask and he doesn't like that.
