Godzilla, Skull Island, King of The Monsters, Godzilla vs Kong, what are your favorites? What other Toho monsters would you like to see? Personally I’d like to see Biollante or Gigan
Legendary Monsterverse Thread
Megalon
The first one. Tried to watch the others but they were too dumb. Kong Skull Island was okay I guess, but it made no sense. King Kong was too big.
Give us Aliens already. Not lame modern aliens, the one that are just guys in really tight looking suits. Cut out the family BS and make it about a plucky young scientist and a reporter that inexplicably stop an alien invasion. The movies are already trying to be dumb so at the very least make it good kind of dumb instead of melodramatic and boring kind.
Gipsy Danger would booty blast all these gay little monsters
Shin Godzilla is so much better than any of this american crap that it isn't even funny.
But we got aliens already with Ghidorah. Atlantis too
I liked skull island and King of the Monsters. Honestly I’d watch a sequel to skull island.
ok weeb
I want motherfucking Gigan. I can't be the only one who thought Mechagodzilla was a huge dissapointment. In fact, as much hate KOTM seems to get, not only did I enjoy it far more than GvK but I think it's my favourite monsterverse movie.
Yeah I don’t get it either. I like KOTM way more too.
Shut the fuck up you insufferable Annonigger, you probably never even saw a Godzilla movie till the funny Evangelion man made this Godzilla themed Eva movie
A giant monster alien and dead ancient people are not the same thing as saucer men in cool uniforms hatching evil plots.
KOTM was easily the best. I thought only critics hated it?
I dunno I saw quite a few threads and some suspicious posters railroading it when it came out a few years ago, although I think it might have just been some brigading redditors
Aliens don't seem unlikely at this point. Every era that went on for long enough sooner or later changed from relatively down to Earth to completely crazy.
Nice projection. I prefer Shin too and I already had watched most of the Godzilla movies and a couple of Gameras years before it.
GvK > KotM > Godzilla = Skull Island
Why the hell did you rank GvK over KOTM? The film bends over backwards to make Kong a match, and Mechagodzilla was sort of a letdown
It's a movie that fans may see more favorably than critics. In fact as I see it most of the fan discussion and fan-made content is focused on things introduced by KotM. It's more popular than GVK.
After gvk, I'd like to see a small dramatic movie about one of the lesser monsters.
1. King of the Monsters
2. Kong Skull Island
3. Godzilla vs Kong
4. Godzilla 2014
I was a bit afraid that Legendary Godzilla will end on GVK which was far from a flattering image (for that particular version of Goji at least). The show will take place before that but the next movie will probably take place after GVK so do you think that in the future they will try to come back to sympathetic characterzation from KotM? I think that anything else would push Godzilla more and more into the background.
KOTM was ruined by taking itself too seriously and the absolutely retarded quips. There's also very little monster on monster action, in which all of em takes place at night in the rain.
I want Biollante
Maybe if you fast forward to the fights. The rest of the movie is insufferable. It's one thing to have blank slate protagonists but it feels like KOTM went out of it's way to make any scene without a monster fight as unpleasant as possible. As far as a fandom consensus is concerned, Godzilla is niche to the point where there's these odd schisms of opinion depending on where you frequent. Make a Godzilla thread in /m/ Any Forums and Any Forums and you'll get three different perspectives. Any Forums frequenters seem to have a much more favorable opinion of the Legendary Movies overall.
It has a 6/10 on IMDb. I like it the most but I’m not gonna pretend the average movie goer liked it. For whatever reason they just didn’t, even if you’ll find people online saying they like it, like us.
Your post is conflicting and there was plenty of monster action. I don’t get you
