Agree on the first point but not the other two. It's not would be bank robbers holding his daughter hostage. It's a literal army and ex special forces people. A country is at stake due to the dictator and his army, not just his daughter.
Despite these stakes though it's clear Arnold's concern above all is his daughter. Not helping the US gov, not his own well being, it's his daughter's and seeing their happiness is better imo than McClain and Holly's separation ending
Also Arnold is more charismatic than Willis and definitely the better action star. It's a big reason Commando is as goid as it is. And if you don't believe me, Arnold was approached first for Die Hard bug turned it down

I agree with mostly everything you’re saying, but while Arnold is the better action star, he certainly wasn’t the more charismatic of the two. McClain’s quips and charm couldn’t have been replicated by anyone other than Willis at the time. Thanks for reading my blog
