Not really. They give a basic rubdown of what's making it go and how the weapons work, but that's about it.

No Craig Charles, no buy.

If there's no Phillipa, don't bother. Dara O' Thingy can fuck off
It's all on YouTube anyway

Fuckin rip

It good anyway?

They don't, and if I remember it correctly, the designs are usually not that creative - I watched similar show when I was a kid and noticed the meta of the "box with 6 wheels and some weapon" almost straight away.

The Clarkson era was kino though

2-4 + Extreme 1 is the main kino period. 5 is good and 1 is also good once you're more into it as it's mostly interesting just to see how different things were when no one knew what they were doing. Everything past 5 ranged from meh to bad. If you're more interested in behind the scenes and the making behind it, there's the making of series 2 documentary dvd on youtube. Also the new seasons of Battlebots are good.

I mean yea externally but the internals must be hella interesting

Sometimes they are very complex inside, other times they are as simple as possible to reduce the chances of something failing. Out of the original series, series 2 is probably the one that shows the most when it comes to the internals and builders scrambling to fix stuff. Series 2 is easy to find online, just start from Heat A.

The only time you see the insides of the machines is when they get torn open
Also, the reboot focuses more on robotics as a subject rather than the actual robots present

It's waaay better on youtube because you don't get all the gay padding to stretch three fights out to 42 minutes.

I only watch battlebots.

Season has been on fire so far, in some cases literally.

I was kind of pissed with the ref in the Sawblaze/Madcatter fight. Usually there's a limit for how long you can grapple for but I guess getting stuck on Sawblaze's forks the whole fight doesn't count apparently.

Chaos 2 was the Hogan
Hypnodisc was the Austin
Razer was the Rock

Shit was so fucking funny though, especially when he drove Mad Catter against the wall and literally started to hump it.

The focus is more on the personalities, style, and the destruction. It's extremely industrial edge

Does Battle bots go into the internals? I’ll check it out anyhow because it sounds good

It's a pretty cool show, especially when you get a couple of Heavey spinners collide and shit flys everywhere like a bomb went off

Yeah not on the show but it has a shitload of extra stuff on YouTube and the teams upload videos themselves. If you are interested on the specifics of a model you will most likely find answers to your questions.

There is behind the battle which does interviews and stuff
