Why aren't movies like this made anymore? It's not just about the source material, modern movies lack the tension, setting, background music etc. of older movies.

with tons of pointless kikes?
Even the way the old films are shot is better. And the film grain and voice audio feels more SOULFUl.
>why don't people try when they make movies anymore
It's not financially efficient
The special effects that were so revolutionary when this came out are now not so novel.
In short: financiers are more risk averse and creatives are less capable. This applies to almost any imaginative pursuit. Fewer leaps of faith and fewer people who want to take them.
It's a combination of these comments. Nobody ever takes a risk anymore because, everything is calculated before even greenlighting a project.
Bad scripts and direction.
Spielberg was something special. It’s a very, very small number of people who have ever been able to make these kind of big blockbuster movies with all the sets, special effects, visual effects, and be so trusted that they aren’t going to be second-guessed and focus-grouped to hell. And of those people, most are trusted like that because they’re dull enough to do it to themselves, or unexciting enough that they just naturally aim to the middle of the middle.
It isn’t really cool to like Spielberg, and you can go all Any Forums on him because he’s quite Jewish, but the guy in his prime was just on a whole other level. He understands storytelling as well as anybody; he has total command over all the technical aspects of film photography; he’s obviously a brilliant communicator when it comes to working with actors and creative collaborators; and he has great taste and an eye for iconic images.

35mm film scan release when?
If anything I see the opposite. Everything is big and spectacular like JP now. There's a lack of small character movies because everything is scifi, capes and fantasy.
It’s around somewhere. I watched it, like, two months ago.
Modern movies are made by suits, not passionate people.
Movies have gotten too big for their own good.
But that's just the thing, isn't it? Spielberg pitched movies to investors, there are no Spielbergs today because the initiative has reversed. It's like a second age of the studio system when films were made backwards by casting the stars first and building a movie around them using mercenary hires who had no creative input.
hollywood has been indoctrinating people for decades now to spend all their money on soulless, mediocre garbage that are mostly money laundering schemes. it would actually cost them money to put out a quality product.
denis villeneuve says hi
What really? Did you torrent it?
Villeneuve is not a good director.
True, but the key thing to note is that most people on Any Forums think it's only been 2 or maybe 3 decades that it's been like that.
Nevermind, found it

He's better than Spielberg.
Yes yes, movies were never good.
