4 episodes in. How can anyone think of this melodramatic shit as groundbreaking, let alone good Any Forums? Especially when compared to the likes of The Sopranos, The Leftovers, Dark, True Detective (S1)?

People just repeat others so they can fit in. They pick up on the socially accepted idea that smart people like X, or people with good taste like Y, and they want to appear to be smart or to have good taste, so they start liking X and Y too.
The retards of 4chins will pretend like this doesn't apply to them, only to "normies", but it does. You're looking to different groups for your approval than the redditors are, but you're doing the same thing. I'd be surprised if there were even a hundred users left on this site who were capable of legitimately independent thought.
It's okay to be retards.
Its kino but you won't realise that until s2
the pilot of twin peaks is literally a top 10 greatest television episode of all time. ALL TIME.
it literally "broke" the "ground" for all those shows you mentioned.
I have nothing against weird/absurd shit but Cooper's weird dreams aren't enough to carry a show with shitty melodramatic actors.
You take yourself and the show too seriously. You are, and I'm not afraid to say the meme word, being lynched.
It predates all the shows you just mentioned
Those are the funny parts user. They're meant to seem cheesy.
Cooper dreamed so that Tony Soprano could dream. It literally BROKE NEW GROUND!
Except those shows have competent actors.
Positively Lynchian style post
You see what you did OP? You made a boomer resort to phoneposting.
In the 90s, when nobody had seen anything like Twin Peaks before, it was all people talked about, waiting for the next episode.
based
It was entertaining, the shows you mention were not
it was one of the first artsy auteur tv shows americans got that ended up being a huge success. it paved the way for other shows that mass audiences could handle interesting television like it.
> melodramatic
op got lynched by OH ANGELO
Its groundbreaking if it:
>did new things
>inspired others that came later
Twin Peaks did both. It is objectively groundbreaking. Its still a surreal soap opera. But its something people keep coming back to.
someone needed to say this
