It was very obvious from all his discussions about the Star Wars sequels that he was deeply in love with Daisy Ridley. He even intimidated the rest of the crew to dismiss all claims that his waifu was a Mary Sue despite it being the first thing Rich said about her.

My argument for them against this would be that it's not that the prequels are now better because the sequels are worse. More like now you can appreciate more true craftmanship and passion over corporate product.
