Why did she do it?

She really hates bells.

Because she'd been doing shit like that the entire show but brainlets only started screeching because now she was targeting westerosi instead of browns.

You know damn well why she did it. Stop asking stupid questions

>You know damn well why she did it.
diarrhea?

Because George was a talentless hack and he wouldn't have given D&D the contract if their show didn't end with the dragon burning down the symbolism

because the city was full of Lannister scum, she was cleaning it before taking over, couldn't let another Mereen happen when she had the perfect opportunity to start from scratch

>Why did she do it?

Hormones released by pregnancy.

Was that the furthest he thought about the ending?

dick deficiency

Better question: Why was it hot?

Because her dragon was burning everything, retard

He also came up with King Bran

>come up with absolutely ridiculous ending
>fail to explain the steps that would make the ending not ridiculous
What a hack.

>You know damn well why she did it. Stop asking stupid questions

Everything and everyone she killed or burned up to that point was just. Stop being a relative moralist whiner.

because they shot down her second dragon as she was attacking king's landing

Psychotic break. Dany realized that all the bullshit that she went through to win the hearts and minds of Westeros and strategically outflank Cersei was completely unnecessary. She lost Rhaegal and Viserion (her children) and Missandei (her best friend) for nothing. She could've brute forced her way to the throne at any time but she denied her instincts.

how the FUCK was Cersei more popular than Daenerys?

Cersei actually does smart things from time to time. Dany's entire story is proving that you can rise to the top without ever making the right decision at any point in your life as long as you have magical flying nuclear bombs that can kill all your enemies.

>Everything and everyone she killed or burned up to that point was just.

Not when she crucified people at random even though nearly half of them were innocent. Or burned a community leader at random to make an example.

Cersei at worst does controlled terrrorisms to eliminate her political enemies and doesn't have a habit of burning down entire cities that happen to observe institutions she finds morally wrong

She was always a psycho but viewers supported her because they didn't like who she was killing. When she got to Westeros she had no innocent victims to liberate anymore, so the veil was lifted.

She hadn't. everything had been through a pretty strict binary of sparing the innocents. Even when confronted with the idea that a contingent of those in power themselves were innocent she considered the attitude she'd taken and made some recompense to their loved ones.
They were teasing the idea she could eventually start weighing the ends above the means but she hadn't organically reached it yet. Worse yet, she'd won the battle so easily, they had surrendered, and she murdered everyone any ways.

>the "Dany wasn't THAT evil" brigade arrives just in time
You all would have voted for Hitler
>inb4 that's a good thing

Only brainlets don’t realize she’s been ramping up to this the whole season. 8 was shit but not for this, mostly because of how the walkers plot/all other character development turned out
>burns the witch who killed her husband in season 1
>burns the people who betrayed her in Qarth
>burns the slavers in whateverthefuck that town was
>burns the entire noble class in that town
>burns entire armies
>burns an entire town
If you’re not retarded you see how in her mind she is always a liberator so anyone who opposes her is an oppressor

So she was pregnant?
Ooooooo noooooo damn Jon killed his unborn baby goddamn

Cersei is a retard and is getting dumber by the day.
and the people of King’s Landing supported her after that because?
>inb4 devil you know

You inb4'd it

>why did the T*rgaryen go crazy and kill a bunch of people for no reason?

*the entire series

Because George R. R. Martin writes too slow.

A platitude that makes zero sense once you think about what the common peasant would most likely think.

They'd think the thing you inb4'd

You’re retarded.
>this woman destroyed the center of our religion but I’ll fight to the death to defend her because I know her more than the other girl!

Daenerys going mad fits with what the books have shown of her character but not with how the show depicted her character.

>Why did she do it?
She embraced her heritage and history. She was told her father was a mad king who would burn people alive. Her brother constantly went on about being a dragon who would burn his enemies alive. She got a bunch of dragons who would burn people alive. She was told from birth that her rightful throne was taken away from her, and the only way she would get it back was by force. She went through all the pleasantries and diplomacy and in the end her enemy didn't care. Why should she. In that moment, sitting there on her dragon she heard the bells. She didn't snap. She just stopped giving a shit. She had burned people to death before. Why stop now when your goal is in sight.

You've never been to a Catholic church have you

I’m not a damned Papist, why would I?

>and the people of King’s Landing supported her after that because?

Why would they support a foreigner with dragons who shows up one day with an army to attack the city?

That's just Emilia Clarke being a terrible actress

The issue is that she does this literally right after they surrender. It doesn't work because the final piece is missing major elements of why Dany did it before. They just skipped to the end without actually properly building up motive.
>Kills more people
Doesn't work when she actually killed them for specific reasons and kills this group for none.
This could've worked if they just chilled the fuck out and gave it maybe a full season's worth of build up.
Though that doesn't fix the issue that it's absolute bullshit to end the story with the Iron Throne being the focal point rather than the fucking Apocalypse that the Game of Thrones is portrayed as a diversion from.

>In that moment, sitting there on her dragon she heard the bells. She didn't snap. She just stopped giving a shit.

She decided to burn the city the night before, she explicitly told Jon Snow that she would rule through fear. The bells is just the moment she had to commit to the action for real.

Shut up you dumb nerd you've been repeating these wrong arguments going on three years
