I watched this movie again after x amount of years. This is a pretty good movie. Why was it panned so hard upon it's initial release?
Peter Jackson's King Kong (2005)
Too long, boring and badly made. Why did you like it?
CreepyThinMan as always with the shittiest takes
>Why did you like it?
The story, the connection between Kong and Ann. The Skull Islands segments. The characters
Like the scenes on the island was filled with so much high anxiety. They get out of one situation and find themselves in a whole new situation. What I like is that the movie skips in a bit of humor with it
More so on Ann's parts because she's a comedic actress in the movie so her chase scenes felt very Chaplin esque. Especially when she was tangled in the vines during the Dinosaur fight
I always think about watching this lately. I watched the Skull Island one a few weeks back. Honestly I liked it more than the new Godzilla.
Was it? At first I thought the first half would be boring because muh people focus but it was entertaining, the bug pit is one of my highlights of the film. Kong fights the multiple t Rex which I guess was a little silly but a good enough justification for seeing the Kong in action, and CGI is good.
>silly
Annd I'm outta here.
Great worm vore scene shame it wasn't the woman
>Kong fights the multiple t Rex which I guess was a little silly
As I mentioned before they worked in conjunction with Ann due to her being a comedic actress. Do you think it's a coincidence that she dressed up at Charlie Chaplin in the beginning of the movie
Still has one of the best tie-in games of all time.

>it's
Why can't you spell?
skip the first hour and its great
Headshotting centipedes with those spears was so satisfying
since AICN tanked, he has no where else to go
I'm going to buy the game for the OG Xbox
I suffered a ruptured bladder watching this.
It's bloated and I agree with every popular criticism about this movie: Jack Black and Adrien Brody are kind of miscast, the movie is too long and spends too much time developing side characters that aren't even important and disappear in the last act. But I still consider it the second best King Kong movie and I watch the extended version (that only adds a bunch of action on Skull Island and it's good).
That game is one of the best survival horror games ever made.
I heard that it was set in the 30s because of well-known legal mess with Kong rights but to be honest I couldn't see it any other way. It's great that it takes place in the 30s. I think it completes each other with the original movie. Which is still the best due to better pacing but to be honest I don't treat it as some actual perfection. There are several other monster movies that I think are better. But I love Merian C. Cooper and just that adventureous spirit that accompanied the crew.
