The whole point of Halo: CE was that humans made a blind slipspace jump to random coordinates and stumbled upon the Halo ring. They didn't even know what it was called or what it's function was. If they couldn't keep this even remotely lore accurate to the original game within a 2 minute trailer I have no hope for the final product.
