Where are the farms? How do they eat? This tiny fucking village is the elf capital? It looks like a hotel resort, not even a village. What happens when it snows? How doesn't an avalanche constantly take it out? Where do they get water? Can't be from the water in the pic because clearly there is no sewage(solid rock foundation on a mountain side....yeah definitely built sewage with medieval technology) so they just dump their shit in the water I guess.

Rivendell isn't located in the mountains, it's in a hidden gorge in the plains. There isn't that much snow

Jackson probably but its not impossible that they had a carpenter whip it up while Frodo was comtaose. Elsewhere in the pic there either aren't railings or they are of a different design and look bigger. Yes, they do have elf laborers, architects and carpenters etc.
