Watching this movie felt like someone taking a dump on my face.

the twink in the movie. he's just not good at acting in real movies. would prob be good for gay porn though. he and chalamet should get together sometime and break the internet

the most bizarrely cast movie I've ever seen
literally not a single character was cast correctly

Why do people like the Space Oddity intro? It is so bad.

I really liked it. It sort of felt like they were brother and sister, but fucking.

They were clearly just trying to capitalise on the Avatar craze. I doubt they put much thought into anything.

>Chalamet-Paul and Valerian
>two bottom sissies
ngmi

why? wasn't that bad. and it was at least entertaining

Who was doing the dumping though?

>the avatar crazy 7 years after avatar

>Avatar craze
What? Avatar came out like a decade before this. And if you mean the last airbender, who the fuck was in that that they are capitalizing on?

I don't know your kink, is this a good or bad thing.

If you disliked this film you were filtered wholesale. The aliens were top tier, the cgi was top tier, the story was good tier and the leads were okay tier. They weren't the best, but they are in no way the worst pairing in film.

They were clearly just trying to capitalize on the A Trip to the Moon craze.

Movie isnt terrible, but its terribly miscast. They wanted a chris pratt in Guardians vibe but got weird school shooter

Oh boy, contrarianism for the sake of it!

People still love it and are patiently waiting for the sequel.
It even has a new theme park opened in 2017.

>Pandora – The World of Avatar theme park
>Opened May 27, 2017

Oh, I was just fucking with OP. I actually really dig the movie but agree Dane and Cara were awful choices. You do this same movie with Taron Egerton and Sofia Boutella, I think it'd have a better reputation.

Such a premise led into nothing. The entire premise was about some huge space station that came out of friendship between different life forms, but the plot had nothing to do with it.
What's the point even?
The plot itself also didn't really make sense as a whole. It's like a mishmash of various ideas that led to nowhere.
"Muh space station"
"Muh aliens"
"Muh totally not ready player one ripoff"
"Muh shoehorned villain because we need some plot"
"Muh some galactic level plot that makes no sense in this setting at all"
Also the two lead actors had such horrible acting.

At least it had really nice visuals. And Clive Owen was good.

>Watching this movie felt like someone taking a dump on my face.
So is that like, a bad thing?

>"Muh totally not ready player one ripoff"
what a bizarre criticism. this movie came out before RP1 zoomer.

Ready Player One is a 2011 book.

I liked certain individual things but overall it was a fucking mess of a movie

And Valerian is based on comics from the 60s.
It's ok to be wrong.

Did anyone else notice the subtle China pandering in this movie?

The director took inspiration from many different places.

>Anyone who has (or will) see footage from the film will undoubtedly be able to see ways in which Besson has been inspired by Avatar - especially in terms of colorful world-building.

Is it opposite day today?
Close enough.

>Opposite Day, 25 January

>It sort of felt like they were brother and sister, but fucking.
im glad i wasnt the only one getting this vibe
it was weird

I think more modern movies need that vibe

song sucks
aliens cool

She looks like Sam Neil. It spooks me right out.

It felt like a fever dream

you actually watched it all? I could not do it

That's why I liked it

the perfect valerian casting if it was the 90s :(

First 5 min was cool, but the last 17 hours was boring and lame.

It wanted to be spectacular but was dull as fuck.

>rihanna's in it
i will now watch (and coom to) your movie

What does that have to do with ready player one?

pleb taste
