in a large house from the 70s similar to pic related, just with one more story
there are two shared flats in the ground floor, my landlady lives in the middle with her children, and me and my flatmates live in a shared flat in the top floor

I live out in the Yorkshire dales, city people either think I'm rich and retired early or a backwards farmer. I'm just a normal guy but the internet is the only thing to do out here. I don't envy city people however, those ugly commieblocks look dire.

Does your apartment have poor insulation?

Comfy old village

I assume somewhere in Northern Germany? That's where most of these brick houses were built

no, southern Germany. The walls are white, but otherwise the house I live in looks very similar to the picture I posted

Something like this but the house is new

Its surprisingly good insulation. The landlord had it all redone and it's quite warm.
The windows are old single glazing though and lose heat.

maximvm sovl

There is a mill town near me called Saltaire that can't have double glazing windows as the entire place is a UNESCO world heritage site over the industrial revolution, so all the buildings are listed and cannot be changed, I see film crews around there sometimes doing movies.

Damn looks very nice.
