I did notice a lack of vegetable oil in the store. This and flour are missing. Not sure if it's already actually supply issues or just people hamstering. It's currently not nearly as bad as early COVID days. I read an article that Belgian restaurants have guaranteed deliveries until end of May. So by then it's either find a different type of oil to use or don't sell fries. Truly I know how my grandparents felt during WW2 now.

Minor inconveniences are worth bringing Russia to its knees. For every European problem Russians will suffer tenfold. Wrecking the Russian financial system and making tens of thousands of educated Russians leave the country vs temporary shortage of sunflower oil is something bearable for Europe.

Not to mention long term consequences are more important. Europe just needs to find other suppliers of natural resources while Russia will have to create the whole modern industry from scratch for itself.
